What is the alumni continuous learning benefit?

Starting 1 August 2026, LUT University is offering a new benefit for recent master's and doctoral graduates. The alumni continuous learning benefit allows you to continue your professional development by registering for designated alumni courses. The free-of-charge registration period is valid for two academic years after graduation.

You are eligible to take advantage of the continuous learning benefit if

  • you have graduated from LUT University with a master’s or doctoral degree after 1 August 2025 and
  • you want to continue developing your skills right after graduation.

You may complete up to 30 ECTS credits during the validity period of the benefit.

How to register for alumni courses

You can register as an alumni student starting 1 August 2026 at 8:00 am.

Browse the course selection before registering, as you will need to indicate which courses you wish to complete when submitting your registration.

Based on your registration, either a separate alumni continuous learning benefit will be created for you in Sisu (advanced courses in degree programmes), or you will receive a course-specific registration link for the courses you wish to take (open university studies).

Alumni course selection

The alumni continuous learning benefit includes a selection of both advanced courses from LUT's degree programmes and open university studies.

Please note that there are no separate alumni quotas for the courses. Spots are very limited, particularly on Finnish as a second language courses. Alumni may register if there are spots available.
